Attendance on 7th Eurasian SDI Conference, 9th~10th September, 2021

During 9th to 10th of September, 7th Eurasian SDI Conference was held by the National Cadastral Agency (NCA), Belarus in face-to-face format and virtual format. The main concept of conference was 'Spatial Data Infrastructure, Together', and NGII shares our experiences and strategies such as geospatial data trends and current status with Eurasian countries and discuss how to operate the Eurasian SDI Conference in the future.

 

The conference discussed on the status of after COVID-19 response with geospatial information in each country, presentation of best practices, and measures for ongoing cooperation. Korean delegation participated in presentations introduce active participation by sharing the status of geospatial information infrastructure in each member country (7 countries) and introducing ongoing projects (capacity building, K-city network).

 

Also, initiative member agreed to participate in the existing Eurasian SDI Initiative, including 2 organizations from Belarus (2021), and organizations from Geospatial Information Industry Promotion Agency from Korea and Kazahstan Agency of GIS & RS and will sign MOU in 8th Eurasian SDI conference to expand cooperation with Eurasian SDI.

The 8th Eurasian SDI conference secretariat will be decided at a later date.
