Attendance on 8th UN-GGIM (Aug. 2018)
8th Committee of Expert on UN-GGIM was held from 29th of July to 5th of August 2018, at the United Nations Headquarter in New York. Around 400 participants from the member states of UN-GGIM and international organizations participated in it.
Korea introduced its national geospatial utilization technology and experience in response to major resolutions. As member countries have expanded the use of geospatial information, it is necessary to cooperate with global, national, and regional cooperation and activities between organizations concerned with spatial information.
The movement to integrate the geospatial information management function of the United Nations centering on UN-GGIM to prevent duplication and increase the efficiency of management is continuously observed.
NGII will participate the 7th UN-GGIM-AP Plenary Meeting on November in China to discuss and establish the action plan for future 3 years.
