Administration and Management of Korea Land Portal
Project overview
Korea Land Portal is a web-based site that offers comprehensive information on the national land. It was constructed in 2003 in accordance with Article 23 (Establishment of National Land Information System) and 33 of the Framework Act on National Territory.
The major contents of the portal include data on the national land, tourism information, news items that related to the national land (updated twice a day), an array of map services, services for other language users (English, Japanese and Chinese), and a wide range of information for children, students and the general public.
The National Geographic Information Institutes, responsible for administrating and managing the portal, are planning to develop it as the best possible land portal through continuous investment and growth, in cooperation with other organizations including the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport, and the Korea Land and Housing Cooperation.
