From 26-28 Sep. 2016, the forty-third Korea-Japan Conference for Cooperation in Geodesy and Cartography was held at the National Geographic Information Institute of Japan, Tsukuba.
The main agenda of the conference was the project of both countries in 2016, opinion exchange on geodetic survey·map·GIS technology and project, and future technical cooperation.
Korea requested cooperation in the field of high-expertise Map, technical standard for autonomous car and manual for disaster risk management of GSI.
Japan requested Korea to share best-practise of creating new industry linking Korea's ITC technology and spatial information industry and the usage of drone.
Introduction of laws and regulation should be considered for figuring out rapid damage situation of disaster area. For the safety and disaster management, development of technology for monitoring of deformation is required.
