On 5th of October 2015, 「the 42nd Korea-Japan Cooperation Conference for the cooperation in Geodesy and Cartography」was held at International Convention Center Jeju (ICCJ) for the technical cooperation on the geodetic survey and map and information exchange.
Five people from each country participated in the conference and the main agenda was introduction of the project of both countries, information exchange, and items of cooperation- policy direction on VLBI, utilization and analysis of UAV, status of ODA implementation, status of providing spatial information.
Following is the main discussion points from the conference.
Firstly, Korea wants to share information on providing distribution policy·price system of spatial information (numerical value, paper) and VLBI achievement of Japan, status of link with national control points and the relationship with precision.
Secondly, Japan wants sustainable technical cooperation and information share on VLBI observation ·status of operation, and way of utilization of new equipments (GNSS satelite, SLR etc).
Korea and Japan will discuss in detail on the suggestion of technical cooperation of GNSS and VLBI(Korea), measurement of level ·gravity(Japan).
